V System contributes to the rebirth of an automotive legend

Lamborghini Polo Storico, the specific classic car division of the Sant’Agata Bolognese-based manufacturer, has spent 25,000 hours working on a project, combining artisan diligence, mechanical engineering, design, ingenuity, and allure as it reconstructs the very first Countach LP 500, which was destroyed during a test. Designed by Marcello Gandini in 1971 as an “idea car”, it was presented for the first time at the Geneva Motor Show, standing out for its extraordinary design which would shape an entire era and define the style that would ultimately pave the way for the Countach series. A form that would continue to influence Lamborghini right up to the present day, marking the design of current models such as the Gallardo and the Aventador.

The model, of which only archive images exist, was fully reconstructed thanks to the passion of a collector and the industrial and artisan culture of Lamborghini, which presented the reborn Countach at the Ville D’Este Concours d’Elegance.

The iconic supercar was then presented during the Lamborghini Countach LP 500 Shakedown event, which took place on 9 October at the Pirelli Tyre Test Track in Vizzola Ticino. The suppliers who contributed to the reconstruction of this extraordinary automotive legend were also in attendance, and these included V System representatives, who were very pleased and honoured to take part.
